Ancient Environment: Unreal Engine & Houdini Scene Setup

Setting up the Ancient faction environment in Unreal Engine 5 and using Houdini to optimize the geometry.

This is a small piece of footage from the Ancients' location scene. Almost all of the work was done in Unreal Engine and some in Houdini.

In Unreal Engine, we worked on the level design. We set up scattering of points on the island rocks on which the vegetation is spawned, worked on the lighting, and set up camera movements for the teaser and cinematic.

In Houdini, we worked with the geometry of the rocks and optimized it by slightly reducing the number of polygons. We also worked on the lighting and setting of the cameras.
