Implementation of Chess Piece Movement

Currently, we are working on our chess piece movement mechanics. All our movements are designed to be smooth, intuitive, and natural in the immersive virtual reality setting.

To do this, we are working on a responsive interaction system that lets players effortlessly pick up, move, and place pieces using accurate hand tracking and controller-based inputs. The system is responsive and fluid—striving to eliminate any slow or unnatural gameplay interruptions that could disrupt the strategic flow.

Additionally, we are refining visual and haptic feedback. Every action—selecting a piece, and making a move—will be matched with satisfying animations and subtle vibrations to deepen player immersion. This allows players to enjoy a more realistic chess experience in Virtual Reality.

As we further develop, we will fine-tune movement precision, introduce AI-assisted interactions, and ensure broad compatibility across various VR headsets.
