Our chess set-ups are practically done. 12 Unique chess boards with corresponding characters. Discover them below.
The selection of chess pieces and environments is 80% complete, bringing us closer to the final visual design of Ultima Chess. Although some 3D models still need to be finalized, the overall setting is exciting and in line with the lore, ensuring that every character and environment will fit seamlessly into the world of Ultima Realm.
We'll have characters instead of the usual chess pieces, each in their own art style to reflect their faction specificity. From elegant kings and queens to creepy viruses, each model tells its own story.
The environments will be designed with great attention to detail to complement the game's atmosphere and create a visually rich backdrop for each match. During the final phase, we will focus on optimizing performance for Meta Quest and SteamVR. By the way check out the already finished Ancient environment if you haven't seen it yet.
